The Kremlin said on Thursday that Ukraine's access to long-range weapons, including ATACMS, provided by the United States, would not fundamentally change the outcome of the conflict, which is now in its third year.
The comments came hours after the State Department said the United States had secretly sent Ukraine ATACMS missiles for use on its own soil and that the weapons arrived this month.
"The United States is directly involved in this conflict. They are on the way to increasing the range of weapons systems that they are already supplying," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
